Social Development reiterates commitment to improving SASSA services

Social Development Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her support and commitment to increasing South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) companies throughout an engagement along with the company's senior professionals in a strategic preparing session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the various social grant beneficiaries, who excelled in the 2024 matric exams.
Of the 724 156 full-time learners who registered with the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, symbolizing 81% from the registered pupils within the education sector.
These learners achieved a commendable pass rate of 86%.
"This means that the investment decision government is earning from the lives of poor and susceptible kids is yielding a positive effects in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe claimed.
Reflecting on current achievements, the Minister highlighted sassa grants important milestones and ongoing priorities. She dedicated to urgently addressing The problem of long term Management appointments as well as the lack of personnel at most area workplaces.
